🪄 About Us

Magic Hour VA is a boutique virtual assistance studio supporting creatives, rebels, educators, and entrepreneurs, especially those doing unconventional or taboo work. We’re queer- and disabled-owned, proudly rooted in values of accessibility, care, and strategic support.

We offer a blend of admin, content, and tech systems to help clients who are often overwhelmed, brilliant, and working outside of traditional structures. We’re here to make their work lives smoother, saner, and more magical.

🌙 About the Role

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, self-directed Virtual Assistant to support Jamie (founder of Magic Hour VA) behind the scenes. This is a flexible, 20-hour-a-week remote position focused on administrative support.

You’ll be helping us stay organized and responsive so we can keep showing up powerfully for our clients. Tasks will be assigned weekly and may shift as the business grows, but the core responsibilities will include:

🗂️ What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing inboxes (including tagging, filtering, basic replies, and flagging priorities)

  • Scheduling appointments & managing calendars

  • Data entry and light spreadsheet updates

  • Organizing Google Drive folders and digital assets

  • Creating and updating client onboarding forms and checklists

  • Light project management tasks (reminders, follow-ups, deadlines)

  • Possibly helping format or post content if comfortable (not required)

✨ Ideal Fit

We’re especially interested in candidates who are:

  • Neurodivergent, disabled, LGBTQIA+, or have lived experience navigating nontraditional work

  • Comfortable with adult/spicy industries or alt content (some of our clients are SWers or educators in taboo fields)

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple moving parts

  • Fluent in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail, Drive)

  • Friendly, professional, and grounded in good boundaries

  • Comfortable working async, independently, and respectfully with a disabled employer

  • Bonus: Familiarity with tools like Notion, Airtable, Calendly, ClickUp, Canva, or social media scheduling tools

💖 What You’ll Get

  • Flexible work hours—set your own schedule as long as deadlines are met

  • Pay that respects your time and energy

  • A non-corporate, values-first work culture

  • The chance to support creative, interesting, and inclusive projects

  • Occasional magic, memes, and mutual aid when we can swing it
